This is a real-life example as to what can happen to pets paws when the temperatures get this extreme. Photo shared by a groomer who encountered the skin damage.
On a normal summer day at 85° the ground temp can get to 140°. We are projecting temps between 95-100… that means blacktop can get to over 160°.
Avoid the damage and walk on grass & dirt Those surfaces don’t retain nearly as much heat. Concrete is OK with temps below 90°.AVOID ASPHALT AT ALL COSTS!!!
